- Withdrawals – Fencers can withdraw up to 12noon the day before the competition by emailing epee@cmwfc.org.uk
On the day withdrawals can be done via phoning – 07967 267663 - All fencers must wear the correct kit as per British Fencing rules.
- There will be an Armoury service at this event. However, you should arrive with sufficient working equipment and be able to make own personal repairs where possible.
- COVID-19 Mitigation measures are in place
- There is limited space in the main hall for fencers and their kit with very little spectator access or viewing.
- Face Coverings are to be worn inside the venue (unless exempt)
- There will be Field of Play restrictions, to limit the number of people piste side i.e. one piste side supporter per athlete from the DE stages and no coaching allowed during the poules.
- People will be reminded not to shout.
- Spectators are encouraged to clap at the end of each bout to acknowledge the athletes performances.
- No handshaking/elbow touching – replaced with salutes on the on-guard line
- Remembrance Sunday – we will stop fencing at 11am for the 1 minute silence

Referee Course – Epee Level 2
We are running an Epee Level 2 Referee Course as part of our event. More details can be found here, if you would like to become an epee referee.
Check-in Closures
Junior Epee:
U9 – 09.30 | U11 – 10.00
U13 – 09.45 | U15 – 09.30
Senior Epee:
Women – 14.00 (revised time)
Men – 14.30 (revised time)
(Senior events will follow immediately after the U13s and U15s finals.)
Competition format
One round of poules, everyone promoted to Direct Elimination (U9, U11, U13 to 10 hits, everyone else 15 hits in the DE’s).
DE Timings: 10 hits 2-1-2-1-2; 15 hits 3-1-3-1-3.

Car Parking
There is onsite parking at the leisure centre, although this can get busy at times. There are several car parks in local proximity with a short walk to the leisure centre.
Car Park Charges
Parking is free on Sunday up to 3 hours. Over 3 hours a charge of £4.00 applies. Get your ticket on arrival.

Open Sunday from 8.00am to 4.00pm
