Our fencing club started in 2010 with sixteen fencers and now we regularly have over thirty fencers each Friday night. A second training session is available at Arden Academy, Knowle on Monday evenings. We have 18 sets of electronic scoring equipment, ensuring our fencers get plenty of practice and fights. The fencing club fences throughout the year with a two week break at the beginning of August.
Our club is proud to have some of our fencers competing and medalling internationally, home country medal winners, as well as multiple regional champions. If you would like to join the team as an experienced fencer or someone who would like to learn to fence, please get in touch.
We have experienced and qualified coaches covering foil and epee. Fencing is available for those aged 6 to 80+ and beginners to experienced fencers.
We run an annual epee competition in November for juniors and seniors, specifically aimed at fencers new to competition or who have been away for a while and looking to get back into competition again. The senior events are British Fencing ranking events.
Kids Fencing Club
Kids Fencing Club for children aged 6 to 9 years old. Sessions are every Friday from 6pm to 7pm for any ability. Only £70 per term (or pro rata) paid in advance.
Our kids have been at the kids Fri 6-7 session for a while now and they are really fun, inclusive sessions, potentially giving them the opportunity to progress through the club and compete, else build skills and self-confidence. Highly recommend !
A fantastic, welcoming club with great coaching and a friendly atmosphere. A brilliant place to learn, improve and develop your fencing. Definitely recommend ☺️
My son has been attending the kid’s class at the Club for over a year, and he absolutely loves it! He has so much fun, and Coach Lynne is wonderfully patient and kind. We can really feel the passion and enthusiasm of the whole team.
Been coming for a few years and the boys really enjoy coming for good sparing and Josh's coaching. Club is devloping and getting better year on year with some great special events and training days.
Great fencing club. They provide equipment for fencing and electric fencing. You might need to do a course to do fencing that are on regularly for eppei or foil, but the people who do the lessons for fencing. As far as I know the sessions are friday evening . Sadly does not do sabre fencing. Undoubtedly an amazing fencing club
A brilliant fencing club that caters for all abilities right from beginner through to advanced.
The club also has a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. There is also an inclusive and supportive ethos which is very supportive of my young autistic daughter.
Highly recommended to all.
